Gas prices are too Low

Econ 101. Unfortunately, it seems even a fairly self-evident article such as this doesn't prevail to the minds of the average voter (particularly the poor). Part of the American way is to not incur the costs of your actions it seems. One aspect of the gas price dilemma that would be interesting to see is if the government repealed all subsidies for the oil industry. Although it wouldn't encompass the pollution aspect, it would at least help bump up the price without actually taxing the consumer.
